The Fulham Chronicle claim that Adel Taarabt could be wanted by Arsenal in the January transfer window, though I’m not sure where they got that idea from.
The temperamental Moroccan has largely flopped since QPR’s promotion to the Premier League, despite being tipped for stardom as a youngster and with some impressive displays for the Loftus Road side in the Championship. Now in and out of Mark Hughes’ plans, why Arsenal would see him as the answer to their current problems is beyond me.
Not that there’s really any suggestion this will happen. The article quotes Alejandro Faurlin, who says he hopes Taarabt will stay at the club, but there’s no specific mention of where the midfielder would be going.
“Adel is a very important player for us. It would be a huge blow for us if he leaves, but I don’t think he will.
”Everybody needs to be pulling in the same direction, and if that happens, everything else will be taken care of. Adel loves it at QPR.”
