With Arsenal reported to be interested in signing QPR keeper Julio Cesar and the player ready to talk about a move now that the Confederations Cup is over, the player has been speaking about his future.
Speaking to reports in Brazil, Cesar said after winning the Confederations Cup
“Now I have to do things right at my club so I can be considered for the World Cup.
“Did my son say he wants to stay in London? Yes, me too. I love the city and I’m enjoying living there.”
It was reported earlier today that Arsenal are planning to meet with Cesar’s reps this week and the keeper, who could be available for under £2m, is keen to decide on his future sooner rather than later.
Manager Harry Redknapp has already stated that the player will be moved on as they look to remove his £70,000 per week salary from the wage bill.
With Roma also chasing the Brazilian keeper’s signature, the fact that he wants to stay in England and that Arsenal tried to sign him last summer before he moved to QPR can only be seen as positives.
